…sorry this response is so delayed… I haven’t used tumblr in some time but.. I’m back at it again! :)
Okay… so it looks like my last post was some time last year… and my last Crossfit class was in August 2013. The reason for that is that my husband and I decided to have another baby. We got pregnant in July 2013 and immediately the pregnancy was hard. I had planned on working out and going to crossfit throughout the pregnancy… the baby had other plans. I had initially put crossfit on hold to save money… and then I became extremely exhausted and sick.. as most women are during the first trimester. Only this exhaustion and sickness lasted longer than the first trimester… it basically lasted the ENTIRE pregnancy and I rarely worked out. I ended up gaining 65 pounds… and now that my little bundle is 4 weeks old, I have only lost about 20-25 pounds of that 65. This does not make me happy… yes I know, it’s a slow process and be patient.. blah blah blah. That’s not me… I want instant results! …though, true to form I haven’t been working hard enough to get those results. I am the snacking queen! LOL!
Now that I am returning to this blog and writing about my journey again… I’m hoping that putting all this out there is going to make me a lot more accountable. I am finding… and not to my surprise.. that raising 3 children and trying to eat healthy and get some exercise in daily is quite difficult. The baby is still only sleeping a few hours per night so exhaustion still seems to be a problem for me. And due to this exhaustion it is much easier to eat quickly.. whatever that is, than it is to cook a full, healthy meal. It’s definitely something I need to work on as the weeks pass by.
Hopefully I’m not the only person out there going through this and we can then count on each other for some support… and of course holding each other accountable!
